Entrance  107 The King of Glory Comes

The King of Glory comes, the nation rejoices
Open the gates before Him, lift up your voices.

Who is the King of Glory? How shall we call Him?
He is Emmanuel, the promised of ages.

In all of Galilee, in city and village
He goes among His people, curing their illness.

Sing then of David's Son, our Saviour and Brother
In all of Galilee was never another.

He gave his life for us, the pledge of salvation,
He took upon himself the sins of the nation.

He conquered sin and death; He truly has risen.
And He will share with us His heavenly vision.

Gloria No Gloria during Advent
Psalm spoken

Gospel Acclamation  72 Advent Gospel Acc. (Stay Awake, be ready)

Stay awake, be ready
You do not know the hour when the Lord is coming.
Stay awake, be ready. The Lord is coming soon!
Alleluia, alleluia! The Lord is coming Soon.

Offertory  607 Let all mortal flesh keep silence

Let all mortal flesh keep silence,
And with fear and trembling stand;
Ponder nothing worldly minded,
For with blessing in His hand
Christ our God to Earth descendeth,
Our full homage to demand.

King of Kings, yet born of Mary,
As of old on Earth He stood,
Lord of Lords in human vesture,
in the Body and the Blood.
He will give to all the faithful
his own self for heav’nly food.

Rank on rank the host of heaven
preads its vanguard on the way,
as the Light of Light descendeth
from the realms of endless day,
that the pow’rs of hell may vanish
as the darkness clears away.

At His feet the six-winged Seraph,
Cherubim with sleepless eye,
veil their faces to the Presence,
as with ceaseless voice they cry,
‘Alleluia, alleluia,
Alleluia, Lord, most High!’

Holy, Holy Plainchant

Mem. Acc  plainchant we proclaim

Lamb of God plainchant

Communion 792 Eye has not seen

Refrain:
Eye has not seen, ear has not heard
what God has ready for those who love him.
Spirit of love, come, give us the mind of Jesus;
teach us the wisdom of God.

When pain and sorrow weigh us down,
be near to us, O Lord;
Forgive the weakness of our faith,
and bear us up within your peaceful word. (Refrain)

Our lives are but a single breath,
we flower and we face;
Yet all our days are in your hands,
so we return in love what love has made. (Refrain)

To those who see with eyes of faith,
the Lord is ever near,
Reflected in the faces
of all the poor and lowly of the world. (Refrain)

We sing a mystery from the past
in halls where saints have trod;
Yet ever new the music rings
to Jesus living Song of God. (Refrain)

Final     960 Guide me, O thou great Redeemer

Guide me, O thou great redeemer,
pilgrim through this barren land;
I am weak, but thou art mighty,
Hold me with thy powerful hand:
Bread of heaven, Bread of heaven
feed me till I want no more;
feed me till I want no more.

Open now the crystal fountain
whence the healing stream doth flow;
let the fire and cloudy pillar
lead me all my journey through;
strong Deliverer, strong Deliverer;
be thou still my strength and shield;
be thou still my strength and shield.

When I tread the verge of Jordan,
bid my anxious fears subside,
Death of death, and hell's destruction
Land me safe on Canaan's side:
Songs of praises, songs of praises,
I will ever give to thee; I will ever give to thee.
